Mobile App for Food2Door
Food2Door is a cutting-edge food delivery app that provides users with a convenient way to order and customize food from their favorite restaurants and have it delivered straight to their doorstep. With a user-friendly interface and advanced features, Food2Door is designed to meet the needs of busy individuals who crave delicious meals but don't have the time to visit a restaurant.
Problem
The inability of customers to customize their orders according to their individual preferences that leads to frustrating and unsatisfying experience for customers. Many users want to have control over their orders, from the level of spiciness to the portion sizes, but often cannot do so through traditional food delivery apps.
Goal
To showcase how Food2Door addresses the common pain points of the food delivery industry, specifically the inability to customize orders according to individual preferences, and how this feature sets it apart from other food delivery apps.
Solution
I conducted user research to address the need for customization in food delivery apps. Through an iterative design process, I refined the interface to include options for personalizing orders, resulting in a more user-centric and satisfying experience.

Home Screen
The home screen offers a variety of options for users to find and order food, including delivery, pickup, and dine-in options. The chat section allows users to communicate directly with customer service, and the app provides a seamless and convenient experience from start to finish.
Restaurant Details Screen
The screen offers a comprehensive view of the restaurant's menu, with a search function to help users easily find items. The screen also includes information such as hours of operation, ratings and reviews from other customers to help inform users decisions.
Food Details Screen
Users can customize their orders by removing ingredients or add extras and also view ratings of the food to help make informed decisions.
User Preference Screen
In this screen, users have more control over their food ordering experience. In the case that an item is unavailable from a restaurant, users can set their preferences for what they want to happen next. For example, they can choose to be notified by the restaurant, get a refund, go with merchant recommendation, or even cancel the entire order.
